A Different Gospel (BW16)
Gal 1:6-8 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
The different gospels are perversion of the gospel of Jesus by the agents of the devil, where truth are distorted to deceive Christians to live worldly lives. The devil uses the attractiveness of the things of this world to trap Christians.
1John 2:15-16 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that [is] in the world -- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life -- is not of the Father but is of the world.
2Cor 11:3-4, 13-15 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted -- you may well put up with it!... For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Without truth, Christians will not be able to overcome deceptions, lies, bondages, etc. and they will remain in their former unsaved old man for the Holy Spirit indwelling within them has been quenched by their distorted truth and heresies .
1Thess 5:19-24 Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
With the Holy Spirit happily dwelling within us, He will guide us into all truth (hold fast to what is good) and He will also convict us of sins (abstain from every form of evil). As we are led by the Holy Spirit, He will be able to sanctify us completely (spirit, soul and body) and preserve us blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (called home or at Rapture).
Brethren, it is only when we keep His words that we surrender our lives to Jesus and only then the Holy Spirit will be able to freely teach, guide, lead and control us to holiness for without holiness we cannot see God nor enter the kingdom of God.
Heb 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
John 10:1-2, 9-10 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep... I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
Our Lord Jesus is the door and when we obey and keep His words we can enter the door and then He will become our good Shepherd to protect and nourish us.
