Daniel 12:2 - The Rapture (BW41)

'Summary of the book of Daniel'

Dan 12:1-2 At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.

For Michael the Archangel to appear to help the Israelites to overcome the deceptions of the Antichrist, this will be nearing the Rapture, when the grace period for the Gentiles is over and the beginning of the last week (seven years) of God's dealing with the Israelites. At Rapture all those Israelites who have not worshipped the Antichrist nor taken his mark will mourn, repent and accept our Lord Jesus Christ as their Messiah.

Zec 12:10 "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn."

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake

These will be the godly and wise Jews, Patriarchs, etc. before the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus for after that only Christians are saved.

Note: During the NT days, at the preaching of His disciples, many devout Jews who came to Jerusalem for the feasts were saved by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts:2.22, 38 "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know --... Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

1Thess 4:16-17 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

At Rapture, godly Christians who had died and all living Christians (having overcome the Great Tribulation), who have not worshipped the Antichrist nor taken the mark of the beast will rise to meet the Lord in the air and be with Him forever.

Summary of events at Rapture:-

For Christians
All godly Christians (dead or alive) will be caught up at Rapture.

For Jews, Patriarchs, etc.
1, Wise and godly Jews, Patriarchs, etc. who died before the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus will be caught up at Rapture.
2. Wise and godly Israelites (still alive) will see our Lord in the air and accept Him as their Messiah. Though they will be left behind, they will be sealed by the angels and they will be protected from the coming wrath of God (7 bowls/trumpets).

Dan 12:3 Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

At Rapture, the rewards of God will be given to each according to their works by the brightness of their transformation (1Cor 15) to their new incorruptible, glorious bodies.

Mat 16:27 "For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.
