What a blessing it was for Daniel to hear the Lord telling him to rest and to receive his inheritance at the end. Similarly, it will be music to our ears if He says to us 'good and faithful servants'. But if we are living in the end time it will be more blessed to see Him coming in the cloud at Rapture while we are still alive, having overcome all the temptations, deceptions and persecutions of the Antichrist and his demonic forces.
Paul's Final Reward
2Tim 4:6-8 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
Paul finished his race having overcome the weakness of the flesh and was transformed into His image having gone through trials, persecutions, temptations, sufferings, etc. He will become one of the many kings in heaven serving the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Can we too have this assurance that we also love His coming? Or that we love this world (refuse to go home to be with Him) because we are enjoying our lives here with worldly recognition, successes, wealth, pleasures, etc.?
Note: we cannot serve both God and also Mammon (money or world).
Fear of going home to heaven
I remembered being told off when I mentioned that 'I will rejoice if the Lord takes me back soon'. A brethren admonished me immediately saying, "You have just cursed yourself to die."
What kind of Christians do we have today - fearing and hating to be go home to be with our Lord in heaven. Where is their love for Him? In fact they have just expressed their hatred to be with Him in heaven. Unless they repent, hell awaits them.
Luke 12:5 "But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!"
Luke 12:22-23 "But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?' So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
They love the world and fear death (instead of loving and fearing God) so they spend much of God's money on expensive health food, gyms, medical specialists, pleasures, etc. for longer lives (they hope) and are not rich to His many ministries.
His Special People
Tit 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
We are His special people called out to live soberly, righteously, godly and zealous for good works after having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, then we will be worthy to be caught up at Rapture.
Brethren, when we see the removal of the Al Aqsa mosque, then we will be joyfully counting the days when we will meet our Lord who love us and died on the cross for our salvation.
