While we wait for Iran's  annihilation and its regime change to start World War 3, let's check our own Christian faith, doctrine and knowledge of Him and His words.

 

Partaking the Bread

John 6:50-51   "This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."

   When our Lord told His disciples that they must eat His flesh, which was the bread from heaven, many left Him.

   Our Lord had told them earlier that He was the Word made flesh (John 1:14), but they were so carnal and blind they could understand that Jesus, the bread of life, was in fact the Word (words of Jesus).

   During the Holy Communion, when we partake of the bread, we must remember that Jesus was the Word (God) made flesh. His body was broken (wounded) for the benefit of man.

Mat 26:26  And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."

Worship in Spirit and Truth

John 4:23  But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."

   A Christian worships the Father -

1. in spirit - when he believes the bread was the Word (God) made flesh. When he partakes of the bread, he must walk out his faith by keeping or abiding in Jesus words.

Luke 22:19  And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, " This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

2. in truth - when he celebrates the birth of Jesus at Christmas when the Word was made flesh, and to evangelize during the Christmas-tide by bringing the good tidings (gospel) to all men.

 Luke 2:10-11  Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

Partaking the Cup

Mat 26:27-28  Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."

     Our Lord Jesus, the Almighty God and Creator of the heavens and the earth was born in an animal stable like a lamb or calf. He was wrapped in the swaddling cloths as the sacrificial Lamb.

   Blood that came out from every wound on His body is for men's benefits. He was finally crucified for the remission of men's sins

Isaiah 53:4-5  Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

Worship in Spirit and Truth

   A Christian worships the Father -

1. in spirit - when he partakes of the cup, which represents the blood poured out from the body of Jesus the Almighty God, he believes the precious blood of Jesus had cleansed him of all his sins.

   He is now a child of God and God has become his Father, who is constantly providing him with His love, peace, protection and empowerment.

I Cor 11:25  In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

2. in truth when he believes, adores or celebrates Jesus' death (Good Friday) for the remission of his sins and resurrection (Easter) for his empowerment in Christ Jesus.

John 6:53  Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.

   Christians must partake the Holy Communion as often as possible and celebrate Christmas, Good Friday and Easter.

Gospel of Christ

Luke 24:46-47  Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

   Before our Lord Jesus was crucified, He was a Jew in human flesh. To stay sinless, He must not break any of the Law and Prophet. He followed John the Baptist, the last prophet of the Old Covenant, and preached the message 'Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand'.

   After His death, which made the Old Covenant obsolete, our resurrected Lord commissioned His disciples to preach His gospel of grace that Jesus, the Son of God was made flesh, suffered, died and on the third day He rose from the dead.

   Whoever repents of his sins and believes the gospel of grace will be saved and the blood of Jesus cleanses all his sins. Our Lord will then give him the Holy Spirit as the seal of redemption thereby making him become a born again Christian.

   Our Lord Jesus taught Paul the same gospel of grace

I Cor 15:3-5  For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.

 

New Covenant of His Blood

I Cor 11:25  In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

   When we partake of the cup (His blood), we are reminded to remember the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, where out of His great love for men, He became the propitiation of our sins.

    When we celebrate or fast during the period of Easter, we adore, appreciate, celebrate and most of all believe Jesus' love for us in His sufferings and death on the cross (Good Friday) and His resurrection from the dead (Easter Sunday).

John 19:33-34  But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

First Born Again Christians

John 20:21-22  So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."

    After His disciples had believed His sufferings and death on the cross for the remission of their sins, and that He had risen from the dead on the third day, only then our Lord gave each of them the Holy Spirit, making them born again Christians.

Teachings of Risen Christ

Luke 24:44-45  Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

    Our Risen Lord was with His disciples for 40 days before he went back to heaven and He taught them how He had fulfilled the prophecies in the Old Covenant.

   He then opened up their understanding of the gospel, teachings, words, commands and parables in the New Covenant of His blood, which have replaced the obsolete Law and Prophets of the Old Covenant.

Easter and Good Friday

The Council of Nicaea in 325 A.D with 384 bishops and presided by Bishop Hosius of Cordova besides formulating the Nicene Creed, also established a unified date for Easter, which is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the vernal equinox. This separated Easter from the obsolete Jewish feasts which Christians are forbidden to observe.

  When we celebrate or fast during Good Friday, we believe Jesus suffered and died for the remission of our sins.

   When we celebrate Easter, we believe Jesus rose from the dead on the third day.

The Bread - Word made flesh

Luke 22:19  And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, " This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

   When a Christian partakes of the bread (His body or the Word) in the Holy Communion, he must always remember that the body of Jesus was the Word made flesh.

John 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

 

Who is the Word?

1 John 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one  (KJV).

   God reveals Himself to man as the Triune Godhead or Trinity - the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit. The Word gave up His heavenly glory as the Lord God Almighty. He came down to earth and was made flesh to become the Son of God.

Mat 28:19  "Go therefore  and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

Word made flesh in Humility

Luke 2:7   And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

   Not only was the Word (in great humility) made flesh to become a bondservant, but was born in great humility in an animal stable as a sacrificial Lamb wrapped in swaddling cloths. His bed was a wooden manger meant for holding the feed of animals.

Phi 2:5-7  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

What to Remember?

    During the Holy Communion when we partake in the bread (His body), our Lord Jesus reminded us to remember that He was the Almighty God, who created the heavens and the earth. The wickedness of man on earth has always been great especially in the last days.

   Out of His great love for man, He gave up His heavenly Kingdom and Glory to save man from damnation. He was fashioned into a bondservant in the form of a Man.

   He was born in great humility in an animal stable and wrapped in swaddling clothes. His bed was only a wooden manger.

  He became the sacrificial Lamb for the propitiation of man's sins.

Good Shepherds Received Good Tidings

Luke 2:8, 10-11  Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night... Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

   Bethlehem enjoys the Mediterranean climate of the hot and dry summers and the mild and wet winters. Snow is a rarity. Winter enjoys an average temperature of 5°C - 12°C (just like springtime in Europe).  

   In winter, caring and good shepherds will take their flocks out in the night to feed on the nutritious, dewy and fresh grass. This was the time when suddenly an angel announced the good tidings of the birth of our Saviour Jesus.

   Similarly, caring and faithful Christians will be blessed with the knowledge of God, the understanding of Scriptures and End-time signa, revelation and truth of His words and the empowering of the Holy Spirit.

Good Shepherds Celebrated 1st Christmas with Angels

Luke 2:13-14  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!".

   The good shepherds were blessed for celebrating the first Christmas with the multitudes of angels.

   Brethren, whenever we joyfully celebrate Christmas, I believe angelic hosts in heaven may join us celebrating His birth.

How wonderful and joyful if only we can hear those angelic voices singing and praising God alongside ours.

Jews Rejected their Messiah (CW110)

Jesus, the Messiah

John 11:47-48, 53  Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, "What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.

If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation... Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death._

   The Jews were expecting their Messiah to establish the Israeli Kingdom again.

   However, the faithless Jewish leadership could not trust their Messiah to defeat the almost invincible Roman army, so they planned to kill Him to prevent the Romans incriminating them of rebellion.

    At the death of Jesus on the cross, God left the temple thereby ending the Old Covenant and replacing it with the New Covenant of Jesus' blood.

Heb 8:13  In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Winter in Bethlehem

    Since the Jewish Priesthood rejected the birth of their Messiah and Christianity was illegal, there was no public celebration of Christmas for almost 300 years until the reign of Constantine, the first Christian emperor.

Celebration of Jesus' Birth

   The good and caring shepherds were blessed to be able to celebrate the first Christmas with the multitudes of angels hosts.

JOY to the World the Lord has Come

Word Made Flesh

Luke 22:19  And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, " This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

    When Christians partake of the bread (His body or Word) during the Holy Communion,  our Lord Jesus reminded us to remember that He was the Word made flesh at His birth (Christmas).

    Thank God that not only Christians but the whole world accepts Christmas as the Christian festival in remembrance of the birth of Jesus.

   But unfortunately, unlearned and misled Christians think that winters in Bethlehem are very cold and blanketed with snow (shown on Christmas cards).

   Just like the faithless and fearful Jewish leadership who denied their Messiah (Jesus) had come as the Word made flesh, Christians who refuse to celebrate Christmas also deny Jesus was the Word made flesh. This may lead them to lose their salvation.

  Thank God that He has provided the whole month of December (Christmas-tide) as opportunities for blessed Christians to celebrate and evangelise non Christians.

Why was Christmas held on December 25?

    The Councils of bishops, who were imprisoned and tortured for their faith in Jesus, formulated the Nicene (Apostles) Creed in 325AD and later canonised the 27 New Testament books of the Holy bible.

     At their advice, Emperor Constantine adopted December 25 as the day of birth of Jesus for Christians to celebrate Christmas in unity and in harmony.

Original Bible Language - Greek (CW109)

The Hebrew Language

  Daniel was a youth when he was taken into slavery after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC. He had to learn Aramaic, the language of his new masters. After the fall of the Babylonian Empire in 539 BC to the Persians, Aramaic continued to be commonly used in the Persian Empire.

  Daniel initially wrote the book of Daniel in Hebrew. In his later years, he used Aramaic to continue his book possibly because most of the younger generation of Jews were not able to comprehend Hebrew.

  Within half a century or so, many Jews had replaced their mother tongue with Aramaic.

Note many parts of the writings of Ezra were also in Aramaic.

   Except for the religious Jews, who memorised the Torah written in Hebrew when young, the rest of the Jews were not able to understand Hebrew.

Translation of the Hebrew Bible into Greek

    After the Greek in 330 BC conquered the Persian Empire, the Jews once again had to learn and speak Greek, the language of their new masters.

  In the Letter of Aristeas to Philocrates, "the laws of the Jews" at the request of Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–247 BCE) were translated into the Greek Septuagint (meaning seventy) by seventy-two Hebrew translators—six from each of the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

   For the sake of the Jews who could not understand Hebrew, the complete 20 canonical books of the Hebrew Bible were finally translated into 39 books of the Greek Old Testament called 'The Septuagint'.

   The Hebrew Bible was mainly reserved for Jewish religious rites.

De facto Language in 1st century A.D

   The New Testament was written in Koine Greek - the common language of the Eastern Mediterranean then.

   This suggests that our Lord Jesus and Jews all spoke Koine Greek which was the de facto language. Our Lord Jesus must have memorised the Torah from childhood for at the age of twelve He was able to discuss scriptures intelligently with the religious teachers.

Luke 2:46-47  Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.

Hebrew Spoken on the Cross

Mat 27:46  And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

   When our Lord Jesus cried out in Hebrew at His death, the Jews, who no longer speak Hebrew, mistook Him calling the prophet Elijah to help Him.

Mat 27:47, 49  Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, "This Man is calling for Elijah!"... The rest said, "Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him."

Canonical Books of the NT

   The Council of Rome in 382 A.D canonised the present 27 New Testament books (written in Greek) from amongst 50 false Gospels, hundreds of heretic and demonic records, and also epistles with erred and missing texts. All these rejects were supposed to be burnt, destroyed and banned (e.g Dead Sea Scrolls).

Protestant Bible

   Martin Luther ensured that the Protestant Bible comprises only canonical books and their initial translations. This original basic Bible consists of the 39 books of Greek Old Testament called The Septuagint (translated from the Hebrew Bible) and the 27 canonical books of the Greek New Testament.

   Translations taken directly from this original basic Bible are the most accurate (e.g King James Bible).

Translation into Latin Vulgare

   Jerome translated the basic Bible into the Latin Vulgate between A.D 383 and 404.

Deuterocanonical Books

  The Deuterocanonical books, written in Koine Greek in the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, are not canonical books. They are mainly of historic nature and do not affect the teachings of the Law.

   Both the Roman Catholic Bible and the Greek Orthodox Bible have added several of these Deuterocanonical books to the original basic Bible (Protestant Bible).

Original Bible Language - Hebrew (CW108)

The Old Testaments

The first five books of the Bible (Old Testament) or Torah were written in Hebrew. Torah is commonly referred to as the Law (or the Pentateuch, in Christianity). These 5 books are traditionally ascribed to Moses (1391–1271 BC), the recipient of the original revelation from God on Mount Sinai.

  Almost the entire Old Testament was written in Hebrew. But a few chapters in the prophecies of Ezra and Daniel and one verse in Jeremiah were written in a language called Aramaic. This language became very popular in the ancient world and actually displaced many other languages.

Why use Aramaic ?

   After the fall of Jerusalem and Judah in 586 BC, the majority of the remnant Jews were taken as slaves to Babylon where they had to learn and speak Aramaic the language of their masters.

   It did not take long before the majority of the Jews lost their use of the Hebrew language. Daniel had to write the latter part of his book in Aramaic so that the Jews could understand. Similarly, the majority of Ezra's writings were in Aramaic.

Falsehood of Scribes

Jer 8:8   "How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us'? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood."

    The Devil used false scribes to corrupt the Torah and Prophets also sent the false prophets to confuse them with false writings resulting in the priests becoming lawless.

Jer 5:30-31  "An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?"

   

Prophets sent by God

Jer 7:25  Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.

    God sent His true prophets to admonish, judge and rectify these corruptions. So the many rejects (false and erred scriptures) were to be burned, destroyed or banned.  

   These are some of the rejected false and demonic Old Testament books.

Canon Books of the Old Testament

   It seems that as far back as Erza and Nehemiah, the 39 books of the OT were being canonised until the 3rd Century BC.

   The 24 books of the Hebrew Bible are the same as the 39 books of the Protestant Old Testament, only divided and ordered differently: the books of the Minor Prophets are in Christian Bibles twelve different books, and in Hebrew Bibles, one book called "The Twelve". Likewise, Christian Bibles divide the Books of Kingdoms into four books, either 1–2 Samuel and 1–2 Kings or 1–4 Kings: Jewish Bibles divide these into two books. The Jews likewise keep 1–2 Chronicles/Paralipomenon as one book. Ezra and Nehemiah are likewise combined in the Jewish Bible, instead of divided into two books, as per the Catholic and Protestant tradition.

Translation into Greek

  By the third century BC, the Jewish community had largely lost the ability to speak Hebrew, so they translated the books of the Hebrew Bible into their then-native (Koine) Greek.

   Gradually this Greek translation of the Old Testament, called the Septuagint, was widely accepted and was even used in many synagogues.

Dead Sea Scrolls are Erred Texts

    The famous Dead Sea Scrolls including the Hebrew Old Testament discovered in 1947 actually date back to the first century BC but they are not the originals.  

  These scrolls were rejects because they have erred and flawed texts. They should have been burnt or destroyed. All bible translations taken from these rejected scrolls will have missing or erred texts.

  The originals, which were translated into the Greek Septuagint in the third century BC, have all been lost or destroyed. For accuracy, all bible translations of the Old Testaments should be taken directly from the Septuagint.

Christianisation of the Roman Empire (CW107)

Vision of Constantine

    The Christian historian Eusebius Pamphilus, who later became the bishop of Caesarea Maritima, described what happened to Constantine: "He saw with his own eyes in the heavens the Cross arising from the light of the sun, carrying the message 'In Hoc Signo Vincesa' in Latin, meaning 'In This Sign Conquer'. Then in a dream Christ visits Constantine and gives him a battle strategy that helped him win."

   Constantine saw the vision of the Cross arising from the light of the sun and he was to conquer the whole Roman Empire to Christianity with the Gospel of Christ.

    For God to hand the enemies over to Constantine was easy, but to win the Roman Empire to Christ, he must trust Jesus, the Sun of righteousness and the Light of the World.

   To be the light of the world, Christ must have taught him to walk in humility and love in order to win over the trust of the equally powerful Pagan Emperor Licinius of the Eastern Roman Empire and the hearts of the powerful Pagan Roman Senate.

Mat 5:16  "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

Then in a dream Christ visits Constantine and gives him a battle strategy that helped him win.

  In his dream, Jesus must have taught him to set up the council of bishops similar to the council of Apostles and elders of Jerusalem in order to re-establish the Christian's doctrine to reunite the divided churches.

Christianity Legalized

  In 312 A.D, Constantine attributed the victory over his rival Maxentius to the God of the Christians in front of the powerful Pagan Roman Senate.

  On February, 313 AD Constantine in humility with the Pagan Eastern Emperor Licinius obtained the Senate's approval to sign the edict of Milan proclaiming religious tolerance in the Roman Empire thereby removing the persecution of Christians and the return of all confiscated properties.

Heresies facing Constantine

   By the 4th Century A.D, there was little agreement about Christianity's beliefs and teachings, the nature of Jesus and God, what writings were sacred, or even how to worship. There was a wide variety of views, many of which were later declared heresies.

Council of Nicaea

   Immediately after legalising Christianity, he invited 1,800 persecuted bishops from around the empire to provide the basis for a unified Church.  

   The Council of Nicaea in 325 AD with 384 bishops and presided by Bishop Hosius of Cordova made several decisions, including:

1. The Nicene Creed

The council created the Nicene Creed, a statement of faith that affirmed the divinity of Christ. The creed used the Greek term homoousios, which means "of one substance", to declare that Christ was of the same substance as the Father.

2. The date of Easter

The council established a unified date for Easter, which is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the vernal equinox. This separated Easter from the Jewish calendar and created a distinctly Christian celebration.

3. Banishment of Arius

The council banished Bishop Arius and his followers, who denied the divinity of Christ and declared their teachings heresy.

Following the Council's advice, Constantine set aside December 25 for Christians to celebrate in unity the birth of Jesus (Christmas), and declared Sunday (the Lord's Day in Rev 1:8) for Christian to worship the Almighty God.

   He was a Saint more than a Conqueror.

 

After his death in 337 A.D, his son Theodosius I in 380 A.D declared Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire.

New Testament Books

    The Council of Rome in 382 A.D canonised the present 27 New Testament books (written in Greek) from amongst 50 false Gospels and hundreds of heretic and demonic records, which were all banned.  

  Unfortunately unlearned, heretics and Satan's agents had used and are still using these demonic false books to discredit and blaspheme our Lord Jesus, His Apostles and also His faithful servant Constantine.

The Calling of Paul (CW106)

Salvation of Gentiles

    Before the Gentiles were brought into His salvation, Jesus ensured that they were taught the truth from His words without any wrong doctrine nor heresy.

Acts 9:15  But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he (Paul) is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel."

   God chose Saul (Paul) a Pharisee of Pharisees, who was godly and zealous to please God by imprisoning Christians who were considered as God's enemies.

   For three years in Arabia, our Lord Jesus personally through revelations taught Paul. After that Paul met up with Peter, who confirmed that his doctrines were the same as those taught to them by our resurrected Lord before He went back to heaven.

Gal 1:11-12  But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Old Covenant Made Obsolete

Heb 8:13  In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

  At the death of Jesus, the veil of the temple was torn signifying the end of the Old Covenant for God had left the temple.,

Circumcision of new Gentile converts

Acts 15:1  And certain men came down from Judea and taught the brethren, "Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved."

   Paul knew that the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus had made the Old Covenant obsolete, so he refused to have the new Gentile converts circumcised.

   The Council of Jerusalem confirmed Paul's doctrine and forbade new converts from keeping the obsolete Old Covenant which was made with the Israelites only.

Acts 15:28-29  For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.  If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well. Farewell.

Gospel of Grace

Luke 24:46-47  Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise  from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

   For anyone to become a Christian, he must believe and understand the Gospel of grace or the message of the cross.

Water Baptism

Mat 28:18-20  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore  and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

    Before Any Christian is baptised, he must believe and understand the Triune Godhead or Trinity:

1. The Father was the Creator of heavens and earth

2. The Son was the Word made flesh. He died on the cross for the propitiation of our sin. On the third day He rose from the dead.

3. The Holy Spirit lives in every born again Christian. He empowers him with His anointing, gifts, truth and guidance.

   So before the Gentiles were harvested into His kingdom, there was a type of Christian Creed which is similar to today's Apostles Creed.

   Every Christian is also taught to observe all the commands of Jesus.

So every born again Christian equipped with the Apostles' Creed, Jesus words and the indwelling of Holy Spirit can  mature in Christ and they will be empowered with truth and wisdom to overcome distorted truth, erred scriptures, false gospels, heresies, lies and deceptions of Satan.

Glorious Apostolic Age

    Jesus' disciples were persecuted initially by the Jewish leadership and then by the Romans for 300 years until Emperor Constantine, the first Christian Roman Emperor.

    During the Apostolic age, the church flourished with sound doctrine taught by Jesus' disciples. They protected His truth by rejecting heresies of those new rich Pharisees converts.

   The Holy Spirit inspired some of His disciples to pen the 4 Gospels and the 23 Epistles, recording the truth of Jesus' birth, divinity, commandments, words and teachings for our understanding, guidance and spiritual growth.

Earliest Christian Heresy

Acts 15:5  But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."

    Some covetous Pharisees (Luke 16:14-15) wanted the new Gentile converts to keep the Mosaic Law so that they too could follow the Law again.

   As a Jew, he only needs to pay 10% of his income as tithes and the rest of the money is his to keep. As a Christian, he owns nothing, for all, 100% belongs to God, as he is only God's steward.

   When they witnessed the disciples selling all they had and laid the money at the Apostles' feet they were worried.

   Since then, various depraved rich and covetous Christians produced erred texts and false Gospels and epistles to deny the divinity of Jesus thereby demoting Jesus to be a creature rather than the Creator, Almighty God Himself.

   These rebellious Christians only want Jesus' grace of salvation and the Holy Spirit's anointing, gifts and empowering but not Jesus' words. They kept the Mosaic Law for financial blessings.

Luke 24:44-45  And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

    We thank God that after His resurrection, for forty days our Lord Jesus taught His disciples how the New Covenant of His blood replaced the Old Covenant.

   The Council of Elders in Jerusalem, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, insisted  that Christians must not keep the Law.

    Paul's epistles are doctrines taught by the Lord Himself, they all complement His words. In line with the commands by the Council of Elders, some of Paul's writings specifically condemn the keeping of the Old Covenant such as Sabbath, Feasts, Jewish traditions, etc.

Heresies in Churches

Acts 20:29-30  For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.    

   After the Apostolic Age, Satanic false Apostles (untransformed rich and powerful Pharisees and Scribes) in the leadership of churches defiled His church.

   By the 2nd and 3rd Century A.D, the church faced many heresies including; Docetism, Adoptionism, Arianism and Gnosticism.

   By the 4th Century A.D, there were about 50 false Gospels (Gospels of Thomas, Marcion, Mary Magdalene, Barnabas, etc.)  and hundreds of false Epistles.

   All these heresies denied the divinity of Jesus and the Triune Godhead, resulting in Jesus' words being treated as inferior to the Law of Moses.

Mat 5:11-12  "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

    As Jesus' apostles and disciples were recording the teachings of Jesus, these false Apostles and historians produced false, damaging and heretic records, books and epistles to discredit (say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake) our Lord Jesus, His faithful Apostles and later on, even Emperor Constantine.

    When God created Adam and Eve in His image, they only have to obey His words to have eternal life and stay in fellowship with Him.

Keep My Words and Live

Prov 7:1-2  My son, keep my words, and treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, and my law as the apple of your eye.

    It is the will of God from the very beginning that men believe and keep His words to be saved and enjoy the abundant life.

  To prevent men from being saved, Satan started to corrupt the word of God starting from within the garden of Eden itself and making the truth in His words ineffective .

Deceptions of Eve

Gen 3:4-5  Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

   The devil twisted God's command to deceive Eve. With a more logical and beneficial proposal, it changed her attitude of distaste and dislike to that of admiration for the forbidden fruit leading to her downfall.

Gen 3:6  So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

Falsehood of Scribes

Jer 8:8  "How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us'? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood."

    Later, the Devil used false scribes to corrupt His words. The Torah and Prophets were often distorted by the devil to deceive the Jews and the Priesthood. All detected flawed copies were to be burned, destroyed or banned.

  Satan also sent the false prophets to confuse them and even the priests were lawless. Unfortunately, the Jews loved the lies and deceptions, which is similar to today's carnal and unlearned Christians.

Jer 5:30-31  "An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?"

   

Prophets sent by God

Jer 7:25  Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.

    But God sent His true prophets to admonish, judge and rectify these corruptions. So the many rejects (false and erred scriptures) were to be burned, destroyed or banned. Unfortunately, these rejected erred scriptures are kept as religious relics and later used by depraved and heretic Jews and non Jewish historians (agents of Satan) to corrupt His pure words.

   God preserved His pure words by getting the Old Testament written in the fading Hebrew language into Greek for common Jews then no longer understood Hebrew.  

   The Greek Pharaoh of Egypt Ptolemy II commissioned the translation of the Old Testament into Greek in the third century BC. The translation was done by 72 Jewish scholars from Jerusalem, and is known as the Septuagint, which is Latin for "seventy".

   The Septuagint was used to translate the Old Testament into other languages for over two thousand years. It was widely used by Greek-speaking Jews, and later by Christians.

Could Jesus be born in Winter in Bethlehem?

Luke 2:10-11  Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.

   Bethlehem enjoys the Mediterranean climate of the hot and dry summers and the mild and wet winters. Snow is a rarity. Winter enjoys an average temperature of 5°C - 12°C (just like springtime in Europe).  

   In winter, good and caring shepherds will take their flocks out in the night to feed on the dewy fresh grass, this was the time when suddenly the angels announced the birth of the Saviour Jesus.

    Since Christianity was illegal, there was no public celebration of Christmas for almost 300 years until the reign of Constantine, the first Christian emperor.

Humility in Jesus' Birth

Luke 2:7  And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

1. Born in the animal shed

    God ensured that all the hotels were full so that Jesus was to be born in an animal shed like any animal. Jesus was born as the Lamb of God.

John 1:29  The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

2. Covered in swaddling cloths – all newly born lambs meant for sacrifices were wrapped with swaddling cloths to prevent them from blemishes. Jesus was born to be sacrificed for man's sins.

1 John 2:2  And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.

3. Laid in the manger – the manger was used for holding the feed and possibly water for feeding the sheep and also other livestock.

    Our Lord Jesus was prepared as food for His sheep. Jesus is the bread of life and the living water and His words is our spiritual food. We only need to believe, read, understand and keep His words.

John 6:48  "I am the bread of life."

Good Shepherds celebrated Jesus' Birth with the angelic hosts.

Luke 2:13-14  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!"

Word Made Flesh

Luke 22:19  And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, " This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

    When Christians partake of the bread (His body or Word) during the Holy Communion,  our Lord Jesus reminded us to remember that He was the Word made flesh at His birth (Christmas).

    Thank God that not only Christians but the whole world accepts Christmas as the Christian festival in remembrance of the birth of Jesus.

   But unfortunately, unlearned and misled Christians think that winters in Bethlehem are very cold and blanketed with snow (shown on Christmas cards). Having been deceived, they refuse to celebrate Christmas thereby rejecting Jesus the Messiah as the Word made flesh.

    God has provided the whole month of December (Christmas-tide) the opportunity for us to evangelise non Christians.

John 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Why was Christmas held on December 25?

    Our early fathers - the Councils of bishops, who were imprisoned and tortured for their faith in Jesus, formulated the Nicene Creed in 325AD and later canonised the 27 New Testament books of the Holy bible.

    At their advice, Emperor Constantine adopted December 25 as the day to celebrate the birth of Jesus so that Christians throughout the whole world can celebrate Christmas together in unity and in harmony.

   Ukraine's military used American-made ballistic missiles this week to strike into Russia for the first time, according to senior U.S. and Ukrainian officials. US President Biden on November 18 had given permission to do so in a major shift of American policy.

Will Putin keep his earlier warnings to NATO that Russian nuclear missiles will nuke their cities if any of their arsenals are used to attack Russian soil?

Formation of USSR

   The Soviet Union had its roots in the October Revolution of 1917, when the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, overthrew the Russian Provisional Government. Founded in 1922 as a confederation of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Transcaucasia (comprised of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia), the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) eventually grew to 15 republics—and a world-wide superpower with 130 ethnic groups

December 1, 1991  Ukraine the second-largest country in Europe by land-mass and a sizable population of ethnic Russians became a sovereign state.

April 3, 2008  Russia objected to Ukrainian NATO Membership.

2014 AD   Following Ukraine's Revolution of Dignity, Russia occupied and annexed Crimea from Ukraine and supported pro-Russian separatists fighting the Ukrainian military in the Donbas war.

Russia Invasion of Ukraine

   In 2021, President Zelensky cracked down on pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarchs, including Viktor Medvedchuk, a close friend of Putin. Subsequently, Putin deploys increasing numbers of troops near the Ukrainian border and publishes an article claiming that Russians and Ukrainians are "one people."  

   One of Putin's demands was that Ukraine never be admitted to NATO – a request rejected by the Biden administration resulting in Russia launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24. 2022.

2024  Since 2022, NATO led by US had already poured hundreds of billion to support Ukraine. At the latest NATO summit, it will send more financial support, fighter jets, missiles, drones and arsenals along with experts to train the Ukrainians.  At the same time, US will station ICBM missiles in Germany to deter (or attack) Russia.  Russia rebuked NATO's decisions.

Note   In 1990 NATO had only 16 members. Today it has expanded to 32 members with the increase mainly from the former USSR.

What will be the outcome of the present War in Ukraine?

Mat 24:6a  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled

   Our Lord prophesied that there will be wars (and rumours of wars), that may lead to great destruction and possibly the annihilation of all mankind.

   However, He comforted us not to fear nor worry (not troubled) even if they developed into World War 3. (see that you are not troubled)

Note  This Ukraine war is frightening for it can be extensive and deadly for both sides (NATO and Russia) are extremely strong and also armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons.

Mat 24:6b  for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

   Our Lord also prophesied that these fearful and frightening wars will escalate to become the destructive and horrific nuclear World War 3 _(must come to pass)_ that it is like the end of the world.

    He also comforted us that the destructive World War 3 will not lead to the end of the World (the end is not yet).

Thank God that our Lord  Jesus will always protect and  nourish His faithful servants.

The Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali is constantly warning Israel and its US allies that if they attack any of its nuclear facilities, he will send his full arsenal to wipe out Israel and all US military presence in the Middle East

Present Situation in the middle East

1. US has military bases in almost all the Arab nations in the middle East

2. US recently deploys aircraft Carrier fleets and the UK deploys warships to patrol the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf and Red Sea.

   At this moment, the West is constantly striking the Iranian bases in both Syria and Iraq.  

   Iran is surrounded by US military bases, UK warships and the invincible US Carrier fleets and its annihilation looks certain.

Earlier Iranian Aerial Attacks of Israel

1st. Iranian Aerial Attack

   On April 13, Iran unleashed a barrage of missiles and drones on Saturday night and early on Sunday, targeting Israel in retaliation for April 1's suspected Israeli strike on its consulate in Damascus, which killed 13 people.

   Iran's massive aerial attack marks the first direct strike by Iran on Israeli territory from Iranian soil. Iran called the attack 'Operation True Promise'.

   The Israeli military also said the vast majority of the projectiles were intercepted outside the country's borders with help from the warships of the US, the United Kingdom and France. Jordan also shot down some of the missiles aimed at Israel as they were flying through Jordanian airspace.

   US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said on Sunday that the US also intercepted "dozens" of missiles and drones launched at Israel from Iraq, Syria and Yemen.

1st Israeli Retaliation

   On 19 April 2024 the Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes targeting an air defense facility within Iran. The limited airstrikes targeted an air defense radar site at an airbase near Isfahan, in central Iran.

2nd Israeli Attack

   On October 1, Iran launched about 180 ballistic missiles at Israel, which it said was in response to the deaths of Haniyeh, Nasrallah and Nilforoushan.

   

2nd Israeli Retaliation

  Israel launched direct strikes against Iran on October 26 . in a high-stakes retaliation to Tehran's ballistic missile barrage earlier this month.

From the attached news, Israel's prime minister said that it had hit part of Iran's nuclear programme during last month's strikes, carried out in response to a missile attack.

  One former Israeli official said the strike destroyed "sophisticated equipment used to design the plastic explosives that surround uranium in a nuclear device and are needed to detonate it", according to the report.

Benjamin Netanyahu told Israel's parliament that "a nuclear Iran poses a massive threat to our existence..."

Coming 3rd Iranian Attack ?

   Will this Israeli attack of the Iranian nuclear facility provoke Iran to use all its arsenals to attack Israel and all US bases in the middle East as Iran constantly reiterates?

    In the last days when we come before God in prayer we must be:-

1. Be Serious for it is a matter of life and salvation or death and damnation.

   From the Apostles Creed, have you believed:-

i) the Trinity or Triune Godhead.

1 John 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.   (KJV)

   God is one. He reveals Himself to men as 3 persons in the Triune Godhead - the Father, the Word (Son) and the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit) so that we can learn from Him to be a loving father, an obedient son and a helper to others

John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

ii) the Gospel of Christ

Luke 24:46-47  Then He (Jesus) said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

    Have you believed the Gospel that :-

a) Jesus was the Christ or the Word (God) made flesh

b) Jesus died on the cross pouring out His blood for the cleansing of your sins

c) Jesus was buried but on the third day He rose from the dead and

d) He gives the Holy Spirit of redemption to dwell within all those who believe the Gospel thereby making them to become born again Christians.

   

If you have not believed the above i) Trinity and ii) Gospel, then you may not be born again nor saved. Repent and confess your belief of the true Gospel (Apostles' Creed) to the Lord.

iii) Jesus' Words

John 8:31-32  Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

    If you keep the words of Jesus, you are Jesus' disciples, who are free of wickedness, covetousness and abominable practices, but:-

a) If you keep denominational doctrines, you are its disciples and not Jesus' disciples

b) If you keep the Law of Moses, you are Moses' disciples (or Jews)

c) If you keep the abominable law of the land (e.g sodomy), which contradicts Jesus' words, then you are a heathen (an apostate).

2. Be Watchful of Jesus' prophecies of end-time, world events, fulfillments of each prophecy, what God expects of us and prevalent heresies.

i) Reject all heresies which contradict the words of Jesus

ii) Do not lay up treasures on earth especially in the last days.

iii) Do not blaspheme the Holy Spirit by believing those so-called Holy Spirit movements, activities, manifestations and prophecies which contradict the words of Jesus and the truth in the Epistles of the Apostles.

1 John 4:1  Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

3. fervent love for one another

1 John 3:17-18  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

   In these last days, many missions and charitable organisations are facing financial difficulties.

  We thank God that He has given this last opportunity for brethren to lay treasures in heaven by giving to the poor and needy instead of heaping up treasures on earth.

   When brethren express their true love by genuinely helping needy brethren, God will also forgive them of their many sins.

    Many depraved and covetous Christian leaders in the US have defiled His church and subject misled Christians into bondages with their worldly wisdom, destructive doctrines and heresies.

Rev 18:3  For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury."

    Since 1962, as the Christian nations became richer and more powerful, they became god and threw God out by separating the church (word of God) from the state. (Prayer in US public schools was made illegal in 1962) They are now no longer Christian nations but Western nations or West.

   Instead of helping the poor third world nations, which have become poorer and poorer since 1997 so that they can see the light and salt of Christians, the West (especially US) became the 'Dictator' of the world and demanded every nation to obey its abominable policies under the cover of human rights in UN.

Rev 18:4-5  And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

    We must not share in the abominations of the West. We have no choice but to be ready to be persecuted and jailed for holding on to our faith, just like those in the seven churches in Rev 2-3.

Judgment of God

Rev 18:6-7  Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, 'I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.'

    The mighty West will be annihilated for promoting the abominable homosexuality and its numerous wickedness.

The Antichrist and the numerous antichrists (CW98)

   World War 3 is at Hand

While we wait for Iran's  annihilation and its regime change, let's check our own Christian faith, doctrine and knowledge of Him and His words.

1Jn 2:18-19  Little children, it is the last hour; and as you were given word that the Antichrist would come, so when (now) a number of antichrists have come to you; and by this we are certain that it is the last hour. They went out from us but they were not of us; if they had been of us they would still be with us: but they went out from us so that it might be made clear that they were not of us. (BBE)

1. The Antichrist will appear only in the last days as the incarnate of Satan. He is also known as the End-time Antichrist, the man of sin who will sit in the temple of God proclaiming himself God.

   Before the End-time Antichrist (the Devil's incarnate) appears, many antichrists will fill the churches with their heresies, lies, deceptions and abominable sins, behaviours and practices (e.g sodomy, covetousness).

2. The antichrists - (they went out from us but they were not of us) are fallen Christians. They are today's false prophets, covetous church leaders and rich televangelists, whose heresies and abominable practices though destructive yet pleasing to the ears of depraved and carnal Christians.

1 John 2:22  Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.

   The antichrists deny the Triune Godhead of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They also deny that Jesus Christ was the Word (God the Son) made flesh. They preached the heresy that Jesus was created by God the Father.

2 John 1:7  For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Lies of antichrists

Mat 10:33  But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

1. Deny the Trinity

2. Deny the Divinity of Jesus

With Jesus reduced to a creation, these antichrists replace Jesus commands and words by keeping the Mosaic Law meant only for the rebellious Israelites.

3. Deny the Word was made Flesh

Luke 22:19  And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, " This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."

   Whenever a Christian partakes of the bread (His body or the Word), he must remember and celebrate the Word was made flesh at the birth of Jesus (Christmas).

4. Deny the Death of Jesus on the Cross

I Cor 11:25  In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

   At the last supper just before His crucifixion, Jesus made the New covenant in His blood. He told them to drink from the cup the wine, which symbolised His blood. We are reminded to believe that Jesus, who was the Word made flesh, poured out His blood on the cross for the propitiation of man's sins.

5. Deny the resurrection of Jesus

I Cor 11:26  For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.

Sadly to say that churches in many denominations today have fallen from His grace (salvation lost) for they have been deceived by Satan and the antichrists to deny Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Fallen Covetous Christian Leaders

2 Pet 2:1-3  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

Persecution of Christians

    Jesus' disciples were persecuted initially by the Jewish leadership and then by the Romans until Emperor Constantine, the first Christian Roman Emperor.

    During the Apostolic age, the church flourished with sound doctrine taught by Jesus's disciples. They protected His truth by rejecting heresies of those new rich Pharisees converts.

Acts 15:5  But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."

Heresies in Churches

Acts 20:29-30  For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.    

   After the Apostolic Age, Satanic false Apostles (untransformed rich and powerful Pharisees and Scribes) in the leadership of churches defiled His church.

   By the 2nd and 3rd Century A.D, the church faced many heresies including; Docetism, Adoptionism, Arianism and Gnosticism.

1. Docetism - one of the earliest Christian sectarian doctrines, affirming that Christ did not have a real or natural body during his life on earth but only an apparent or phantom one.

2. Adoptionism - an early Christian non-trinitarian theological doctrine, which holds that Jesus was adopted as the Son of God at his baptism, his resurrection, or his ascension.

3. Arianism - an early branch of Christianity that held that Jesus Christ was not one with God the Father, but instead just created by God and a holy man.

4. Gnosticism - Gnostic doctrine taught that the world was created and ruled by a lesser divinity, the 'Demiurge', and that Christ was an emissary of the remote supreme divine being, esoteric knowledge (gnosis) of whom enabled the redemption of the human spirit.

Note - all the above heresies denied the divinity of Jesus and the Triune Godhead, resulting in Jesus' words being treated as inferior to the Law of Moses.

John 1:17  For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

   Misled Christians tried to be Moses disciples. Without the truth of Jesus they are blind and once again under the bondages and curses of the Law. Worst of all they have fallen from the grace of Jesus and have lost their salvation.

   They also looked to Jewish historians (e.g Josephus), who had the spirit of the antichrist, for a better understanding of early Christianity instead of Scriptures.

Mat 5:11-12  "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

    As Jesus' apostles and disciples were recording the teachings of Jesus, these false Apostles and historians produced false and heretic records, books and epistles to discredit (say all kinds of evil against you falsely) our Lord Jesus, His faithful Apostles and later Emperor Constantine.

    By the fourth Century A.D, there were about 50 false Gospels (Gospels of Thomas, Marcion, Mary Magdalene, Barnabas, etc.)  and hundreds of false Epistles.

Canonised Books

   After Emperor Constantine was miraculously saved, he legalized Christianity in 313 A.D. He invited 1,800 persecuted bishops to form the Council of bishops. The council produced the Apostle Creed in 325 A.D and canonised 27 books of the New Testament to nullify those demonic books and destructive heresies.

   After his death in 337AD, Emperor Theodosius 1 in 380 A.D, made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. Misled Christians believe the lies of the Jewish and non-Christian historians but are blind to the fruit and light (righteous works) of Emperor Constantine - God's faithful servant.

   Thank God that Emperor Constantine is highly rewarded for the persecutions and falsehoods from the historians and misled Christians.

Earliest Christianity 5 - False Pen of Scribes (CW96)

Gen 3:2-3  And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.' "

    When God created Adam and Eve in His image, they only have to obey His words to have eternal life and stay in fellowship with Him.

Deception of Satan

Gen 3:4-5  Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

   The devil twisted God's command to deceive Eve. With a more logical and beneficial proposal, it changed her attitude of distaste and dislike to that of admiration for the forbidden fruit.

Falsehood of Scribes

Jer 8:8   "How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us'? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood."

    Later, the Devil used false scribes to corrupt His words. The Torah and Prophets were often distorted by the devil to deceive the Jews and the Priesthood. All detected flawed copies were to be burned or destroyed. Satan also sent the false prophets to confuse them and even the priests were lawless.

   Unfortunately, the Jews loved the lies and deceptions, which is similar to today's carnal and unlearned Christians.

Jer 5:30-31  "An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?"

   

Prophets sent by God

Jer 7:25  Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.

    God sent His true prophets to admonish, judge and rectify these corruptions, so that all the rejects (false, erred and flawed scriptures) were burned or destroyed.  

    Unfortunately, these rejected flawed scriptures were kept as religious relics.

Canon Books of the OT

   It seems that as far back as Ezra and Nehemiah, the OT were being canonised until about the 3rd Century BC.

    These canon OT books were translated into Greek (Septuagint) and it is the most accurate version of the Old Testament text and is being used by the Greek Orthodox Church.

Greek and Latin Bibles

The Greek Bible consists of the 39 books of the Septuagint and the 27 canon books of the New Testaments were used in the Roman Empire.

   In 380AD, all the Greek scriptures were translated into the Latin Vulgate for the sake of the Latin speaking world.

  The Eastern Roman Empire retained the Greek Bible but the Western Roman Empire who were Latin speaking used the Latin Vulgate Bible.

    God ensures that His words were preserved in both Greek and Latin for these 1700 years. God had also prepared them to be translated into other languages. So, all translations taken directly from the Greek or Latin Vulgate are canon books.

Missing and Erred Texts

   Since US President Kennedy threw out God and the Bible in the 1960s, the people have lost the fear of God. For financial gain, many new bible translations were not based on the canon books but from flawed, rejected or corrupted writings.

   Satan has even succeeded in getting the new translations to omit the text confirming the Triune Godhead or Trinity.

1 John 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  (KJV).

   With so many denominations rejecting the Triune Godhead, the divinity of Jesus and 'the Word made flesh', Satan has successfully condemned these blind, stiff-necked, rebellious and covetous Christians into the Lake of fire.

Luke 24:44-45  Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.

   For forty days our resurrected Lord Jesus was with His 120 disciples

1. teaching them how He had fulfilled the Law so that all Israeli (Jewish) converts in Christ Jesus have also fulfilled the Law and they do not need to keep any part of the Law

2. opening up their understanding of Scriptures especially His words, commands, teachings and parables found in the 4 Gospels.

Acts 1:3  to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

3. speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God especially kingdom living.

1 Cor 6:9-10  Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Apostolic Age

    After the formation of the council of apostles in Jerusalem to verify the teachings of Jesus which were verbal. The Holy Spirit inspired some of His apostles and disciples to record our resurrected Lord's teachings in 27 New Testament books, which were all written in Greek.

2 Tim 3:16-17  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Heresies in Church

    By the fourth Century AD, there were about 50 false Gospels (Gospels of Thomas, Marcion, Mary Magdalene, Barnabas, etc.)  and hundreds of Epistles which claimed to be 'holy scriptures'. There were all types of lies, heresies and distorted doctrines from these many false gospels, books and epistles.

    The most dangerous heretic sect then was Arianism - an early branch of Christianity that held that Jesus Christ was not one with God the Father, but instead just created by God and a holy man.

  With the denial of the Triune Godhead and Jesus relegated to a Creature, all these heretics need only to follow the Law which justifies their covetousness and wealth. They can completely ignore the words of Jesus, which they find difficult to keep, e.g.

Mat 10:38  "And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.

Luke 14:33  So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

God is One

Mat 28:19  "Go therefore  and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

    After the Word was made flesh at the first advent of Jesus, God reveals Himself as 3 persons in the Triune Godhead - the Father, the Son (Word) and the Holy Spirit (Helper) so that we can learn from Him how to be a loving father, an obedient son and a helper or comforter to others.

1 John 5:7  For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. (NKJV)

Earliest Christianity 3 - False Apostles (CW94)

While we wait for the fall of Iran and the change in regime to start World War 3, let's check our own Christian faith, doctrine and knowledge of Him and His words.

2 Cor 11:13-15  For such are false apostles deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

   Since the fall of Adam and Eve, Satan and his fallen angels acting as angels of light have not stopped deceiving mankind to reject and rebel against God's words and commands.

   During the days of Noah Satan even sent his fallen angels to marry the women of men, thereby corrupting the human race resulting in a race of great wickedness. God wiped out this entire wicked human race numbering by the millions with the deluge.

   When the Law was given to Moses in great details, yet Satan used the false prophets and covetous Priesthood to deceive the Jews to rebel against His Law and prophets. The Jews loved heresies and false prophecies.

Rich Pharisees Derided Jesus Teachings

Luke 16:13-14  "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.

   God considers money as an abomination for the love of money has destroyed the faith of many Christians sending most of them to damnation.

   When our Lord Jesus taught that no one can serve both God and Money, the rich Pharisees who loved money ridiculed Him. Our Lord Jesus exposed their hypocrisy of justifying their covetousness.  

   However, some of these covetous Pharisees (false Apostles) found their way into the leadership alongside Paul and His Apostles.

Luke 16:15  And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God."

Earliest Heresy

Acts 15:5  But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."

    When faithful Christians were selling everything and put them under the feet of Apostles, this large amount of money attracted the covetous Pharisees and Scribes, who were sure to be in the leadership for they were highly educated and rich, whereas most of Jesus' Apostles were illiterate and poor.

   The first heresy occurred in the book of Acts where covetous Pharisees insisted on Christians keeping the Mosaic Law, where they can justify their extreme wealth.

   Since Christians who keep part of the Law will no longer be under God's grace, any sin they commit will lead them to be cursed and damned.

Gal 5:4  You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

    Paul warned of heresies and destructive doctrines by depraved, misled and rich church leaders (false Apostles and savage wolves) after his demise.

    Today, Christians love the heresies and distorted doctrines from the OT and the many false Gospels, books and epistles resulting in the thousands and thousands of denominations, which have strayed from His words, truth and salvation.  (Last days' church - Rev 3:14-22)
