Coming WW3 - 4th Seal
John 14:29 "And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe."
Our Lord knew that it was difficult then for His disciples to believe His prophecies, and it will be much more difficult for us in the last days. So He carefully taught His disciples giving great detail so that we can use His endtime teachings in Mat 24. Then as each sign is being fulfilled we will begin to believe Him and our faith in His words and prophecies will slowly increase. Then we will begin to look forward to the next sign to be fulfilled and at a later date having complete faith in His prophecies, eagerly await their fulfillments.
Israelites who Believed
Jer 27:12-13,17 I also spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, "Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live! Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord has spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? ...Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live! Why should this city be laid waste?"
God commanded Israel to surrender to the Babylonians so that they would be allowed to stay behind and tend their land. Otherwise, Jerusalem and Judah would be annihilated and the Israelites killed or made slaves in a distant land. It is a pity that the majority of them perished because they believed the lies of the false prophets instead of God's prophets.
So when Jerusalem and Judah were annihilated and the Israelites' captives were herded to Babylon, they believed the prophecy of Jeremiah. They were then ready to serve the Babylonians faithfully for the next seventy years in peace and prosperity.
Note – many prophets had prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem because of the Israelites' refusal to repent of their sins, idolatry and abominable practices. Today, many end time prophecies and signs have already been fulfilled and the next to be fulfilled is the Fourth Seal or World War 3 along with the pestilences, famines, death and earthquakes. Believe the End Time prophecies and signs of our Lord Jesus and you will live in peace and security.
