Last Days Christian's Perils - 2 (CW40)

World War 3 is at Hand

While we wait for Israel and the West to attack the Iranian nuclear facilities to start World War 3, let's check our own Christian faith, doctrine and knowledge of Him and His words.

Scoffers in the Last Days
2 Pet 3:1-6   Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. "For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.
These last days scoffers are hypocrites, carnal, worldly and heretics (especially those in prosperity gospel, once saved always saved, secret Rapture, positive confession).
Since they are wallowing in their sins (walking according to their own lust) they are fearful to face our Lord. This world has given them so much pleasure that they love this world.
They have rejected God's will and also the words of Jesus. They refuse to repent of their carnality, covetousness and robbing God and the poor by heaping treasures in the last days.
2 Tim 3:1-5a  But know this, that *in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money... lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

Mockers in the Last Days
Jude 1:17-19  But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
These lustful scoffers and mockers are as rebellious as the false prophets in the days of Jeremiah.

Rebellious False Prophets
Jer 27:14-15, 17  "Therefore do not listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, 'You shall not serve the king of Babylon,' for they prophesy a lie to you; for I have not sent them," says the LORD, "yet they prophesy a lie in My name, that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you and the prophets who prophesy to you... 'Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live! Why should this city be laid waste?"
All those who believed the false prophets promising victories, peace and God's deliverance were all killed trying to fight off the enemies.
Similarly, rebellious Christians who refuse to believe that God will use the coming World War 3 to judge the depraved and sinful Christians so that He can prepare the bride of the Lamb, will not teach nor talk about this truth. They would rather embrace lies and false prophecies of peace, blessings and prosperity.
These rebellious, faithless and unrepentant so-called Christians will all be killed during World War 3 and then cast into Hades.

Submitting to God's Will
Dan 9:2  in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
Knowing that it was God's will for them to serve the Babylonians for seventy years, these Jewish youths had decided to live in peace and serve the Babylonians faithfully as though they were serving God. Because of their peace and faithfulness, they were treated more favourably than those from other nations.
Similarly, godly and faithful Christians who submit to God's will, will keep His words especially the warnings of the perils of Christians in the last days. God will preserve and anoint them for the great End-time harvest.
