World War 3 is at Hand
While we wait for the fall of Iran and the change in regime to start World War 3, let's check our own Christian faith, doctrine and knowledge of Him and His words.
Love, Faith and Power of Early Disciples
Acts 4:32-35 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles' feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need.
Covetous Leaders
Acts 15:5 But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses."
The first heresy occurred in the book of Acts where covetous (lovers of money) Pharisees insisted on partially keeping the Mosaic Law.
Jews only need to pay tithes (10% of their income) and the rest are theirs, whereby Christians own nothing for they are only God's stewards or servants.
These covetous and rich Pharisees wanted to be respected as Jesus' disciples so that they could be church leaders. However, they rejected His words and commandments of denying self, which were against their covetous nature. They justified their love of money (mammon) by teaching the blessings of the Law. God considers money as an abomination for the love of money has destroyed the faith of many Christians sending them to damnation.
Luke 16:13-15 "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God."
Who are the True Disciples of Jesus?
Born again Christians (not Jews) have the Holy Spirit within them to help them joyfully keep Jesus' words so that with truth they can overcome the world and the deceptions of Satan.
1. Love As Jesus had Loved Us
1 John 3:16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
2. Forsake All
Luke 14:33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
3. Deny Self
Mat 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me."
4. Sell All Give Alms
Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
NT Heretic Wolves
Act 20:29-30 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.
Paul knew that after his demise, rich and powerful church leaders (wolves), who cannot accept the words of Jesus of denying self and forsaking all in this world, will justify their positions by using the Law.
1. Prosperity Gospel
2. Judaizers (keeping the Law especially the Jewish feast)
3. Rejecting the Trinity or the Triune Godhead by reducing the divinity of Jesus so that the Mosaic law given by God is higher than Jesus' words.
Most of the heresies found in churches today have their roots from the above 3 destructive abominations.
