1. MYSTERY

Rev 17:6  I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.

    When John saw the Harlot he marveled with great amazement that within a short period of a generation the great champion of Christianity has suddenly turned it back to God. It has become the enemy of God and Christianity by persecuting and destroying the faith of Christians and sending many weak Christians to damnation.

 

The Fall of US the Great

   After the two world wars and the Great Depression, US has become the world's richest and most powerful Christian nation. In 1962, Kennedy turned his back on God and took the Bible out from all public schools, a confirmation of the complete rejection of theocracy in the US. God rejected President Kennedy and he was assassinated in 1963.

    In the 1990s, President Clinton approved sodomy. In the 2000s, President Obama passed the bill on sodomy and same sex marriage. US is playing God and is using UN Human Rights to force all nations to accept these abominations. Otherwise, they will withhold financial support and impose trade sanctions on them.

The US today:

1. No theocracy – Bible cannot be used to run the state.

2. Bible – removed from public schools

3. Prayers - banned in public schools

4. Women's equality – rejects man as the head of the home

5. Children's rights – children can defy their parents

6. Approval of Sodomy

7. Approval of Same Sex Marriage

Last Days False Christs

2 Pet 2:1  But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

   After the signing of the PLO-Israel Peace Treaty in 1993, Christian nations and churches began to adopt all kinds of heresies, including the abominable sodomy. You will find many mockers who have lost their salvation teaching from the pulpit. They are lustful gay bishops, gay pastors and gay leaders in the church. Rich and powerful Christian leaders are scoffers who will mock watchful and godly Christians who believe they are living in the last days.

    Leaders of rich, powerful and heretical churches, even though they are still ministering in churches, can no longer come before His presence.

    Without revelation, vision and truth, these sinful leaders resorted to the teachings and wisdom of men resulting in all types of heresies :-

which reduced the worship of God similar to rowdy and noisy animals jumping around in zoos.

9. Judaizers by keeping Jewish Traditions (Old Covenant)

There is no small wonder that John was greatly amazed when he saw US the champion of Christianity becoming the depraved agent of the Devil.

Early Christianity

Acts 20:29  For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

    After the death of Paul (62-67 AD) and during the 2nd and 3rd Century AD, the Christian church faced many heresies.

    As soon as Christianity was legalized in the Roman Empire (4th Century AD), the councils of bishops had produced the following:

1. the Apostles Creed

2. the Septuagint, the Greek version of the OT

3. 27 canon books of the New Testament in original Greek.

Thank God that He has given us the Christian creed and His pure word (bible).

Roman Catholic Church

   Rome was the centre of Christianity after the destruction of Jerusalem. The church witnessed the conversion of nearly the entire Europe to Christianity. Sadly, heresies and the worship of Mary defiled the Catholic Church. The Pope then reigned over Christian kings during the period of Inquisition, where many churches were serving Satan (scarlet beast) with idolatry.

    Today, the Pope no longer controls the world. In his stead, the US has replaced Rome with its wealth and power.

The Great Harlot

Rev 17:3  So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

     This harlot sits (led and guided) on the beast with seven heads and ten horns (Satan or Antichrist). In the last Century and up to the 1980s, US was the champion of Christianity with the greatest budgets and number of missionaries sent out.

    After US President Kennedy took the Bible out from the schools thereby rejecting theocracy for US, demonic laws, lies and worldly wisdom infiltrated into the administration and the churches.

    US became arrogant and wanted to become the richest and most powerful nation in order to dictate UN and the whole world.

    Heresies abound with 'Secret Rapture' of Darby the Dispensationalist, being popularised in the 1970s from books and films of 'the Great Planet Earth', 'Left Behind', etc.  

    Wrong doctrines such as 'Prosperity Gospel' and 'Once saved always saved' also flourished. These heresies from US were exported to the rest of the world, thereby destroying the faith of Christians in Jesus and truth in His words.

Rev 17:4  The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.

    This harlot is the most powerful nation, the king of the world (purple). She has shed much blood (scarlet). She is extremely rich and prosperous (gold and precious stones). Her handouts or helps are filled with abominations.

    Since the 1980s, US has become the richest and most powerful nation that even UN submit to her. Countries supporting US will obtain financial helps but countries opposing its policies may face the wrath of US with sanctions or bombs.

    Since the 1990s, US had victimised, attacked and ruined Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. It had also sponsored civil uprisings to bring down regimes of many nations, meanwhile shedding much innocent blood.

    After President Obama legalised homosexuality and same sex marriages in 2000s, UN Human Rights was used to force these abominations on all nations, causing many to hate US (darkness and no longer the light to the world) and sending many unlearned and weak Christians to damnation.

Saving Christianity - Part 3 (CW19)

Salvation of Gentiles

   Thank God that before the Gospel reached the Gentiles, God had given His doctrine through the Council of Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem confirming that salvation in Christ Jesus is by grace alone. Christians (both Jews and Gentiles) must not keep any part of the Mosaic Law of the Old Covenant, for it has been made obsolete by the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus.

Salvation of Romans

   As soon as Christianity was legalized in the Roman Empire and before the Gospel reached the Romans, the Council of Bishops in Nicene produced the Nicene Creed (Apostle Creed), which provides a doctrinal statement of the Christian Faith. Christians were converted according to their faith in the Apostle creed. They were then taught and discipled according to His words in the Holy Bible of canonised books.

How can God ensure that the truth of the Gospel and His words is preached during the greatest harvest of souls during World War 3 at the end of the age ?

God will harvest the tares first?

Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn."

    Before the greatest End-time harvest of souls (wheat), God must remove the tares (false prophets, wolves, heretics, covetous and wicked Christian leaders) so that new converts will be taught His truth and His pure words by His faithful servants.

Why are the Tares not removed earlier?

Mat 13:28b-29  The servants said to him, 'Do you want us then to go and gather them up?' But he said, 'No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.'

    Killing these popular depraved Christian leaders (tares) will destroy the faith of the unlearned, immature and misled congregations, who have been deceived and blinded to love the world and the pleasures therein. They hate truth but love lies and heresies like the Israelites in the days of Jeremiah just before the annihilation of Jerusalem.

Jer 5:31  The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?

Casting Tares into the Eternal Fire

Mat 13:41-42  The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

    God will use World War 3 (4th Seal) to remove the tares (heretic and wicked Christian leaders) from His church during World War 3.

1 Cor 6:9-10  Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Christian's Faith

1. God is One. He reveals Himself to men as the Triune Godhead or Trinity in - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

2. The Apostle Creed is the Belief of Christian

3. The Holy Bible with 39 OT books and 27 NT books is infallible. The Bible is the sole authority for Christians in faith, doctrine (belief) and practice.

4. Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus.

 

Shine Forth as the Sun

Mat 13:43  Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

    While the tares are being harvested and thrown into the everlasting fire, God will prepare the faithful disciples to be transformed into the image of our Lord Jesus and shine forth as the sun.  

   Be Jesus' disciple by keeping His words then He will anoint you to overcome the coming World War 3 in glory.

Mission of Constantine

    The Church generally regarded the definition of doctrine as the responsibility of the bishops; the emperor's role was to enforce doctrine, root out heresy, and uphold ecclesiastical unity.

Council of Bishops

    Immediately after legalising Christianity, Constantine must have followed Jesus' instruction by inviting the 1,800 faithful, godly and persecuted bishops from around the empire to form the Council of Bishops. Just like the earlier Council of Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem, the Council of Bishops under the guidance of the Holy Spirit rectified the errors and wrong doctrines of the various sects by producing the official doctrine and providing the basis for a unified Church.

Council of Nicaea 325AD, the first Ecumenical Council (unless the Council of Jerusalem is so classified). The Council of Nicaea is the first major attempt by Christians to define orthodoxy for the whole Church.  

   The bishops with the guidance of the Holy Spirit produced the Nicene creed. The purpose of a "creed" is to provide a doctrinal statement of correct belief.

   The Nicene creed summarises the apostles' preachings and teachings concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ. With the Nicene Creed in place (similar to Apostle Creed), Arianism, which denies the existence of the Triune Godhead or Trinity, and threatened to destabilise the entire empire, was classified as heresy.

    Later Council meetings were held to canonise the various books and to rectify any flaw, dispute and heresy.

OT Canonical Books

   Evidence suggests that the OT was canonized between 400-200 BC. For the sake of the majority of the Jews, who no longer understand Hebrew, Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285–247 BC) sent 72 Jewish scholars to translate the OT into Greek, which was named the 'Septuagint".  

NT was written in Greek

   The New Testaments were also written in Greek, which was the language used by our Lord Jesus and the other writers.

Canonical Books of the Bible

The Council of Laodicea 363 AD, concluded that only the Old Testament (along with the Apocrypha) and the twenty-seven books of the New Testament were to be read in the churches.

Christianity the Official Religion

    In 380 AD, Theodosius I made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. By then the councils of bishops had produced the following:

1. the Apostles Creed

2. the Septuagint, the Greek version of the OT

3. 27 canon books of the New Testament in original Greek.

    Thank God that He has given the Christian creed and His pure word (bible) for Christians to grow in Him..

Translation of Bible

The Bishop of Damascus ordered Jerome to translate the OT and the 27 NT books written in Greek to the Latin Vulgate, so that every Roman can read and understand the Bible.

Most Accurate Bibles

   The Eastern Roman Empire (Greek speaking) adopted the original bible in Greek, but the Western Empire (Latin speaking) adopted the Vulgate Bible - the original Latin Bible.

The World Hates God's Chosen

John 15:19   If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

    Beware of non Christian's (Jewish, pagan, heretic) false and evil historical records concerning our Lord (false gospels) and His chosen servants (e.g. Constantine) for they tend to have the Antichrist's spirit to tarnish their reputations.

    Unfortunately, many misled Christians are deceived with the flawed and erred texts, non canon writings, false history and worldly wisdom as truth.

On the advice of the Council, Constantine set aside December 25 for Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus (Christmas), and Sunday (the Lord's Day in Rev 1:8) for Christians worldwide to worship the Almighty God in unity.

Resisting Wrong Doctrines

Gal 5:4   You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

    Before God gave the salvation to the Gentiles, God raised up Apostle Paul, a Pharisee of Pharisees and one who was zealous in pleasing God. Having encountered Jesus personally, saved and taught by Him, he knew that the New Covenant of the blood of Jesus for all mankind has obsoleted the Old Covenant made with the Israelites. As a learned and respected Pharisee, he was able to oppose the mistakes of Jewish disciples, forcing new gentiles converts to be circumcised.

The Council of Jerusalem

Acts 15:24  Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law" —to whom we gave no such commandment—

   The Council of Apostles in Jerusalem guided by the Holy Spirit forbade Christians (both Jews and Gentiles) from keeping any part of the Mosaic Law of the Old Covenant for salvation is by grace alone.

   With the right doctrines based on the words and teachings of Jesus established by the Council of Jerusalem, God then gave them big harvests of both Jews and Gentiles.

Call of Constantine

    According to the Greek historian Bishop Eusebius, while Constantine was getting ready of a battle he saw the sign of the cross appearing in light over the sun. Then in a dream Christ visits Constantine and gives him a battle strategy that helped him win.

    For God to hand the enemies over to Constantine (Gideon and his 300) was easy, but to win the whole Roman Empire to Christ, he must be led by Jesus, the Sun of righteousness to be the Light of the World.

Mat 5:16  "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

    Christ must have taught him how to be the light of the world by walking in humility and love in order to win over the trust of the equally powerful Pagan Emperor Licinius of the Eastern Roman Empire and the hearts of the powerful Pagan Roman Senate.

Light to the World

   Having defeated the superior forces of his rival Maxentius, he attributed the victory to the God of the Christians.

   With humility and love, it took Constantine six months to convince Emperor Licinus and the powerful Pagan Senate to legalize Christianity in the edict of Milan signed in February, 313 AD. Constantine did not impose Christianity upon his subject.

More than an Emperor

    The Orthodox Church regards Constantine as Saint Constantine the Great. Constantine built the Church of the Holy Sepulcher at the purported site of Jesus' tomb, which became the holiest site in Christendom. During his reign, he built many basilicas, repaired churches throughout the empire, relieved clergy of some taxes, supported the Christian church financially and saw that Sunday (Lord's day in Rev 1:10) was designated as a day of rest for all citizens.

  The Pagan Roman Senate saw the light of Jesus in Constantine and it was just a matter of time that they would embrace Christianity. At the death of Constantine in 337 AD, there was already a high percentage of Christians in the Roman Empire.

    With the majority of Romans accepting Christianity, Emperor Theodosius in 380 AD, declared Christianity its official religion.

True Repentance (CW16)

1 Pet 4:17  For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God.

    God will use the 4th Seal including World War 3 to judge His house. During the fall of Israel to the Babylonians, there were 3 types of judgment:-

1. Nation of Israel

Israel and Jerusalem were razed to the ground and the kings and his children were all killed.

Jer 52:2-3a, 10  He also did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done. For because of the anger of the Lord this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, till He finally cast them out from His presence... Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. And he killed all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

Note  All Christian nations, unless they repent by bringing the Bible back into the schools, making homosexuality and same sex marriages illegal, they will be annihilated in World War 3.

2. The temple of God

The temple of God was destroyed. False prophets, priests and Levites were all killed, except for the God fearing Jeremiah who was spared.

Jer 52:13a, 24, 27  He burned the house of the Lord and the king's house; all the houses of Jerusalem... The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers... Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive from its own land.

Note  All Church and Christian leaders, who accept the abominations of the authorities, teach heresies and wrong doctrines, and approve homosexuality will be killed and condemned to Hades, unless they repent.

3. Jews

All Jews were killed except for the 4,600 godly captives, which included Daniel and his friends.

Jer 52:30  in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred and forty-five persons. All the persons were four thousand six hundred.

Note  Christians who are hoarding treasures, covetous, carnal, worldly, immoral (gay and lesbian) or heretic will be killed in World War 3 and then cast into Hades unless they repent and be transformed.

Be Transformed

1 Peter 4:1-4  Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you.

Be Fervent in Love

1 Peter 4:7-10   But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins." Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Brethren, the time is at hand, repent from all  carnalities and heresies. Humble yourself before God's words by helping the destitute, feeding the poor, caring for the sick, comforting the fearful, preaching the gospel and walking in the Spirit in love, truth and righteousness.

1 John 3:14  We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.

False and Demonic Gospels (CW15)

Council of Jerusalem

   During the Apostolic age, the churches flourished with sound doctrine taught by Jesus's apostles and disciples.

    After the formation of the council of apostles in Jerusalem to verify the teachings of Jesus which were verbal, the Holy Spirit inspired some of His apostles and disciples to record them as the New Testament books.

   From 50-120AD the apostles and disciples under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit managed to record 27 books, which were all written in Greek.

2 Tim 3:16-17  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Christians Persecuted

    After the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, His disciples were persecuted by the blind Jewish leaders and Priesthood until the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple of God in 70 AD by General Titus.

   Meanwhile in Rome, the first persecution of Christians organized by the Roman government was under the emperor Nero in 64 AD after the Great Fire of Rome.

    With the continuous Roman persecutions, the Council of Apostles and Elders was forced to go underground, leaving the churches to be run by bishops and leaders independently.

Heresies in Churches

Acts 20:29-30  For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.

    After the death of Paul (62-67 AD), many misled church leaders without God's unction, tried to project themselves as the 'anointed of Jesus'. As Jesus' apostles and disciples were recording the teachings of Jesus, these false and depraved leaders also produced heretic records, books and epistles claiming them to be 'Holy Spirit inspired' and started their own sects or denominations.

    By the fourth Century AD, there were about 50 false Gospels (Gospels of Thomas, Marcion, Mary Magdalene, Barnabas, etc.)  and hundreds of Epistles which claimed to be 'holy scriptures'. There were all types of lies, heresies and distorted doctrines from these many false gospels, books and epistles.

   During the 2nd and 3rd Century AD, the Christian church faced many heresies. They included, among others; Docetism, Adoptionism, Sabellianism, Arianism and Gnosticism.

    The most dangerous heretic sect then was Arianism - an early branch of Christianity that held that Jesus Christ was not one with God the Father, but instead just created by God and a holy man.

False Scriptures and Heretic Sects

   There were many false and demonic gospels and epistles misleading Christians especially in the 2nd-4th Century AD. Heretic sects have sprang up all over the places after their faithful bishops, who were shepherding the churches, being imprisoned or killed. The Council of Jerusalem was no longer available to rectify disputes.

   Christianity then was illegal with many of their faithful leaders persecuted, imprisoned and even martyred.

Who is able to legalize the hated Christianity with the powerful Pagan Senate in the Roman Empire with 2 Emperors ?

Who is able to form the Council of bishops (c.f. Council of Jerusalem), having the authority and power to rectify the heretic sects and to remove the false and demonic gospels, books, epistles and heresies from His church ?
